About Us

Estero Bay Chevrolet was founded in 2003 by Charles Winton and his managing partner Patrick Denson upon being selected by General Motors. After a few years of deliberation and navigating zoning, Estero Bay Chevrolet finally broke ground to establish its new home in Estero, just off Corkscrew Road and Interstate 75. Doors were officially opened in October of 2007.

This proud franchise was first named General Motors' Chevrolet Dealer of the Year in 2018 and has earned that distinction for five years consecutively (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022). This honor is only awarded to 60 dealers out of 3,000 across the country. A Dealer of The Year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 award speaks to the consistency, focus on customer service, and commitment to the communities surrounding Estero Bay Chevrolet which includes Naples, Bonita Springs and Fort Myers.

Since opening in 2007, Estero Bay Chevrolet has been a proud donor and supporter of the community and has offered scholarships to students in need of financial assistance at Florida Gulf Coast University. Charles Winton is a Foundation Fellow and Chair Emeritus of Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation and continues to give generously to help the establishment nurture the growth and education of students in the greater Fort Myers area.

In 2023, Estero Bay Chevrolet was aquired by Group 1 Automotive. Houston-based Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is an international, Fortune 300 automotive retailer. Since its initial public offering in October 1997, Group 1 Automotive, Inc. has become a leading operator in the automotive retail industry.
